Controversial plans to introduce a zip wire attraction to Scarborough’s North Bay have been approved by North Yorkshire Council.
Councillors on the planning committee ignored advice of officials to approve the 35m high zip wire experience which will consist of several “unobtrusive” wires spanning between two steel-framed towers running from the former Mr Marvel’s Leisure Park to the south of the Scalby Mills Miniature Railway Station.
