Clothing retailer Next have announced the closure to their town centre store on Westborough.
Situated in the Brunswick Centre the building was occupied on a three month rolling lease and, with the uncertainty of the creation of an Odeon cinema on site, Next failed to agree acceptable terms, despite being keen to continue their representation in the town.
instead the company plans to expand their out-of-town store on Seamer Road, relocating their clothing offer there.
This is a major blow for the town centre, having lost many clothing retailers in recent years such as Debenhams, Top Shop, Top Man and Dothothy Perkins.
